Chapter 27 – Forgiveness
Renzo bumped into Lee on a Saturday on his way to get groceries. They talked for a few minutes at a café and he told her in person what Oliver did for him. He was grateful but Lee didn’t look like she’ll forgive the man soon. She even asked if Ciara got jealous of her. He recalled that she did, but as he explained to her that Lee’s only a friend and nothing more, she didn’t seem jealous anymore. In Lee’s mind, she asked herself is she should’ve reassured Oliver the same way Renzo did to his girlfriend. Still . . . that guy wasn’t even her boyfriend.
Renzo told her his thoughts on the matter, mentioning that Oliver reacted strongly when he told him not to play games with her, insisting he wasn’t.
“I think your man is just feeling possessive.”

She actually cried when he came back and he was quick to reassure her.“I’m here now. You shouldn’t cry.” He himself was worried. They’re first-time parents and didn’t know much about raising a child. The next day, he quickly asked Ciara if she wanted to take a morning-after pill. Her reaction was similar to his.
