Feeling Him

Storm POV

I've done what my mum suggested, spent time with Julian, and not rushed into things. I feel like I'm delaying the inevitable, which makes me feel worse.

Julian's arms are wrapped around me. "You've been unusually quiet. Something is going on. All night, you were different. Then today as well," his eyes focus on mine.

He's not wrong. He stays one night a week. Usually, I talk about everything that's happening all week, but there's not much to tell him.

"Your wolf was back, Storm. Now it's gone again. Why?" He peers at me, and I'm scared of hurting him. He's going to find out, though. I know that Dad is back today, which means Quinn will likely be forced to interact with us.

"I love you," I smile at him, and his head tilts.

"You say that in a way that makes me feel like there's a 'but' coming?" He sits up, and I hear the knock. I walk to the door, and William smiles at me.

"Your Highness, you're late for food. The family are waiting," he explains.
