Fourteen

The meatballs I pulled out of the oven sat on an unused burner on the stove to cool. Tate would be in here in nearly twenty minutes and I was scrambling to get the harvest potatoes finished. All day I had been lazy and bored. This Saturday, apparently, was the day that Christine and Henry decided to leave pack grounds for the day to enjoy themselves. I didn't mind, but I was ready to finally plan a shopping trip with Cleo or even a day just driving around outside of pack territory.

The potatoes still had seventeen minutes left to bake, so I decided to chop up some lettuce I gathered from the pack garden. I also got some tomatoes and kale from there. Christine said that kale was good for your immune system and that for how much I've been training, I should start eating it.

It's pretty bitter and doesn't have much flavor other than that
