Chapter Forty Seven - Weird

ROSITA LAUREN’S POV

I didn’t know that sitting on the passenger would build up this heavy tension between us. The master was driving silently in the driver’s seat, steering the wheel professionally.

He said he wanted to talk, but was silent on our way back into the mansion. I pretended to watch the moving scenery on the side of the tinted windows.

I know the rage I felt a while ago and yet…what he did instantly melted my heart. I was only his maid, I didn't deserve any explanation from him and he was willing to give it.

My eyes sneaked a glance at him as he sighed deeply, making me worry that he might’ve noticed what I'd been doing.

“I’m sorry, it wasn’t right of me to blame you for what has happened,” Master told me, which made my eyes widen.

We were at the stoplight and were almost near home, the awkward tension crawling up to my sleeves as I averted my gaze from him.
