ROSITA LAUREN’S POV

“I don’t have to, but all I know is that you're kind, that’s what all that matters,” Roger claimed with a smile plastered on his lips.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t be with you,” I told him straight to the point, which made his eyes widen in disbelief. It was like that was the first time he was rejected.

“Why? Is it because of the man that you’re with? He’s just rich and doesn’t care a thing about you,” He firmly said.

My eyes widened because I felt like something drastically changed, “He’s my boss, Roger, he can deal with me whatever he wants,”

“As if I’d believed that! Do you see the way he looks at you? He has intentions!” Roger furiously claimed.

This conversation was going nowhere, so I took my phone from him before sighing deeply because I was disappointed.

“I-I thought we would be friends, but I think that is not what’s on the plate now,” I mumbled sadly.

“We should head back, master will probably be awake and will start looking for me,” I claimed before standing
