"Give me your hand."

I move my hand slowly towards his. I can feel the pressure and tension, and my heart is crazy like a Mad Hatter, as if he's really on crack. But that's not the case, and I'm starting to doubt to trust this guy. He is a demon, but he's different from the twins and Jippis. I sense real evil within him. If he will pull a trick on me and suck out all my life, I have to strike first.

I unleash a quarter of my demon magic not to be sensitive for the demon to catch on. Talima gasped behind me. She knows about my identity because she never questioned it. So I trusted her completely when she didn't tattle on me.

"Scared?" Merkon snicker.

I glare at him. "No," then I placed my hand on his as I felt a wave of his magic going through me, but once that magic got a hold of my energy, I could feel it pulling.

My body starts to drain.

This asshole said only a tiny amount.

He's trying to get the whole fucking buffet out of me.
