Maya walked into the room, and Grey was standing by the window. His back was turned against hers until he heard her close the door. Maya leaned on the closed door with a sigh, as Grey looked at her.

"Grey..." She began to speak but he cut her short.

"Why did you go against my wish?" He demanded.

She moved away from the door. "It is a pack tradition, and it seems there's no escaping it," she said.

"To hell with that!" Grey's tone levitated. "I was against it, and you should have respected that," he said angrily.

He grabbed her arm, and pulled her back roughly. "This should be the last time you'll attempt to walk out on me," he said, his tone dangerously low. "Do you know what you've gotten yourself into?" He asked her in anger.
