Catherine pov.

I stared at them, my eyes fixated on their faces, searching for the right words that eluded me. The reason I found myself in this place, at this moment, was a simple one—I came here to see my son.

With a concerted effort, I turned my body towards them, molding a smile upon my lips, attempting to conceal the turbulence within. Thoughts raced through my mind, desperately seeking the perfect utterance. Just as Lux, my son, was about to break the silence, I seized the opportunity and interjected.

"I heard the tragic news of your wife's passing, and I came here seeking answers, yearning to understand the circumstances of her untimely demise."
