Lux pov.

I pulled Catherine close to me, and her sweet scent filled my senses. As I kissed her passionately, I couldn't believe that she was still alive. Her soft hair brushed against my fingertips as I brushed it out of her face, and my heart swelled with emotion.

"Please never leave me," I pleaded, tears streaming down my face, as I looked into her beautiful eyes.

After finishing cooking, I carefully placed the delicious food on two plates and led Catherine to the dining room. "Lunch is served," I announced, unable to take my eyes off of her.

As Catherine looked up at me, I felt a warm sensation spread through me as I gently placed my hands on her, savoring her presence. "You look lovely," I whispered, but her unexpected response caught me off guard.

"You only say I'm beautiful because this isn't my real body; you've never loved me, Lux, so why risk your heart?" Catherine's words stung, and I realized how much I had hurt her.
