I looked at him with my arms crossed, trying to show all my anger. Hunter glanced at me, before shrugging, like everything was already decided and I couldn’t do anything to stop it.

I didn’t dislike magic, but I didn’t like it very much either. I liked being able to defend myself, and I already did, I didn’t need anything else. Magic was fine, for whoever wanted it.

Yes, it was still human theory, but I liked it that way.

“Okay,” I said, to my wolf’s outrage. “But on one condition.”

They both looked at me attentively, hoping what my condition would be. Hunter didn’t look happy for me to put but, however, this wasn’t about him. It was about me, my family, my magic.
