It was not very common that he managed to transform, but there it was, right in front of my eyes. The elders did not know what caused his problem. Everything in him seemed to be perfect, but communicating with his wolf was almost impossible, therefore, transforming was also.

Yet despite all his troubles, Izaiah was still the second strongest wolf in the entire pack. His abilities were comparable to Hunter’s, plus he could sometimes beat him in specific competitions. For example, no one bought Izaiah on speed.

“Are you sure?” I ask, hesitating.

The wolf glared at me. I could even swear he rolled his eyes at me. Even with my doubts, I got on the great gray wolf. His fur was softer than it looked, and he even smelled good. Woods and honey, just the way Izaiah always smelled.
