I shook my head, trying not to follow that course of my thoughts. I was delusional to think that I was done with him, but that was before I realised that not only the future of the pack could be at stake, but also the life of my best friend.

I wrapped myself in a towel just before leaving the bathroom. Hunter was in my bed, completely asleep while hugging one of my pillows. The day was not only overwhelming for me. My poor Hunter. He must have been exhausted after looking everywhere for me. I put on one of my pajamas before laying down next to him, seeking his warmth and shelter.

Perhaps next to him, I would not have to fear nightmares.

“Good morning, Sienna,” Izaiah greeted solemnly as soon as I opened the door to my room.
