Chapter 27 Betrayed

Ares came across a little hill and stumbled to a stop before the body of a dying Werewolf. The enormous beast lay on its side, intestines coming out from its chest broken and slit through. The Werewolf was vaguely skeletal in shape as if malnourished, with naturally long limbs that sprouted from his shoulders. The eyes were just empty sockets on his face.

His face was as if it was made from bones, the skin barely existed on it. He had long gone on.

Even after all these times, seeing a Werewolf dead up close made Ares feel the utmost disgust. The Werewolf was one of the biggest he had ever seen in his life, and he had seen many of them. He had seen dead werewolves before, and truth be told it hadn’t been pleasant.

Of course, dying rarely was.

He passed the creature, stepping more carefully on the battlefield. The woods were filled with trees and little various magical vegetation, natural pillars rising around him, and bodies littering the ground. Not a lot to be seen here except these
