He knew that even among the government, the public services, and many other sectors, the mystical creatures occupied senior positions and to "witch hunt", all these people would weaken both the consciences and the country itself.

The fact that their world exists in secret was a form of protection, positive discrimination to ensure the harmony that must be.

Many mystical creatures believe that humans should serve as their slaves as the weakest race. They serve as both food and sources of mystical energy for many races and this could create a real problem if the stability between the normal world and that of the creatures is upset.

This would amount to a real carnage on the human side because the creatures would try to "protect" themselves by stopping the threat which in the end is not one.
