55. Selena's lie

THE NEXT MORNING

Faith woke up with the sound of a bird chirping and the bright sunlight coming from the open window made her go blind.

Who opened the window? She remembers it being closed last night. She slowly sat up by leaning against the headboard.

Was it Kendrick?

She was back in Kendrick's room. She looked around to find the sight of him and found the room empty. She frowned a little seeing that. As far as she remembers, he was here till the end of the night. She woke up once again at night and found him sleeping beside her. He was sitting down but his head was kneeled down beside him, on the bed.

She was lost at that moment, just like she is lost now. She didn't know what to feel at that moment. She didn't know what to feel toward the situation, toward everyone and toward... Kendrick.

She was in confusion and in defense. The defense was to save herself from feeling something stupid. She remembers her past and how much he loved her but at the same time, years later, he didn
