19. "He's Worried"

Olive’s POV

Lycan Aaron ushered me into his spacious, well-furnished chamber that exuded an air of quiet sophistication.

As I settled onto the plush couch, I noticed the eerie silence that hung in the air. Aaron remained stoic and unresponsive despite my presence, his attention fixed solely on the stack of documents before him on his desk. I felt a sense of restlessness as I watched him, wondering what could be occupying his thoughts so wholly.

‘If he had nothing to say to me, why can’t he let me go?’
