Olive’s POV

I should have suspected Asmund when he saved me from Angelica and pulled me. Among all the places he could bring me, he shoved me in front of Lycan Aaron and his guests!

Right now, my body is a canvas of pain adorned with bruises, wounds, and blood.

Asmund shoved me, and I fell to my knees, my hands and knees pressing into the unforgiving ground. My gaze was fixed on the glossy tiles beneath me, watching as my blood dripped down in a macabre dance. The weight of my injuries was too much to bear, and I couldn't lift my head. My heart pounded in my chest, threatening to burst through my ribcage.

Upon seeing me, I was unsure of the reactions of Lycan Aaron and the other guests. My nerves were too frayed to muster the courage to look up and gauge their responses. Instead, I kept my head lowered.
