69. "Won't Let You Go"

Griffin’s POV

I was so incredibly happy when Olive agreed to come and live with me. We're going to be together from now on. Maybe Olive doesn't feel the same way about me yet, but I'm determined to win her heart during the time we spend together.

We're going to be a family and enjoy the rest of our peaceful days together. I had already envisioned our future as I prepared to leave Aaron's castle with him. However, my gut twisted when I heard a knock at the door.

"Dr. Griffin! Abuela has lost consciousness!" a maid rushed in to inform me that the old woman, who had always mistreated Olive, was sick.

I had a sinking feeling about this, but I knew it was my duty as a doctor to help others, even if I despised Abuela for how she treated Olive. So, I reluctantly tended to Abuela and gave her the necessary medication to survive.

Inside the clinic, Olive sat by Abuela's bedside, watching her sleep. I stood behind her, observing Olive's apologetic expression as she looked at the old woman.
