I scaled through the thorns of grasses that prodded my path. Only one name resonated in my mind and that was' Emerald'. Even if it would take everything in me to save her, then I'll gladly do so.

If anything should happen to the little girl, then I'm a goner. I had vowed to protect her with my life and I was going to do just that. The possibility of finding an almost extinct blood which no one knew if it was even in existence added even more fear to my being. The thought of loosing another person cut me through like a blade and I felt myself rejecting the tangles.
