Painful memories

Reaching the door, I shoved down the door knob gently as not to Awaken anyone. It was already dead into midnight and no one should be lurking around by this time of the night.

I found her sleeping peacefully as she coiled up herself under the bed sheets.

Seeing that everything was okay, I released a deep breath and turned to leave.

"Pls don't kill me" Her voice came again and my legs stood rooted at a place.

"Pls don't kill me, I have to live for my mom" She pleaded in shaky breaths. Slowly i advanced towards her. I could feel her body shake and shiver in fear and her heartbeat, racing quicker than normal.

What kind of dream was she having, her words reminds me of a dreadful past, a part of me that I had buried deep beneath my heart.

I clasped her sweaty hands with mine as I sat on the bed beside her and instantly, she steeled and her breathing became normal.

What could be haunting her dreams?
