(Serena's POV)

"Hey, wake up." I heard a familiar voice.

I felt cold hands on my arms, shaking me. I slowly opened my eyes to see a very angry Marcus.

He sighed. "The next time you run off, it's over." He said and helped me up. I looked down and saw the bloody hole I fell into.

Who digs a hole in the middle of a path?

Wait... Did he save me? H-How-- my eyes landed on his injured leg, he's still sitting in his wheelchair.

"Let's go, my leg is aching."

I instantly pushed his wheelchair, all the way to the house with him grumpy and mumbling how stupid I was. The sky went from a sunny morning to a grey dark.

"Shit." He cursed causing me to stop.

Did he just curse at me? I didn't ask him to save my guts inside that Goddamn hole! Why does he keep saying the fact that I'm an idiot itself?

With a scoff, I was about to scowl at him but suddenly look up. "It's going to rain." He said and turned his head to me. "I trust you have enough energy to run?" He asked and I nodded.
