(Serena's POV)

Lying in bed as the fused warm light of dawn now creeps down the summit. My head was everywhere. I cannot sleep a wink last night, not even closing my eyes for a second.

My mind is empty.

My heart is in pain.

-Your job is done. Thank you for everything-

His voice keeps running through my head. Every time I closes my eyes, his no emotions pale blue eyes stared at me like I was just a mere stranger to him now.

It pains me.

But I deserved it.

Did I?

A knock on the door jolted me on my bed.

"Housekeeping."

It's Marcus's servant.

I let her in to change the bed sheet and clean the whole room while I am gazing down the balcony where Marcus's employees are having fun on their own.

This is not a team building. It seems like a vacation for his people.

I smiled to know that he still care about his people even though he does not express it while at the company.

Here I am again... Thinking about Marcus.

Finally, I'll be leaving him.

This is what I want, this is what I was hoping
