Chapter 13

Giovanni paces up and down the room in frustration. He has been at this for days now, trying to get Elena to speak up but her lips are sealed shut. He feels frustrated that she wouldn't give him any information on Caterina whatsoever and the few times she did speak, she would ask why he wants to find her and if he cares about her.

Caterina is tired of lying to Giovanni, not because she is touched by his efforts to find her, but because she is tired of his torture methods. Her skin is now covered with stab injuries and infected puncture wounds and she feels sore all over. Her stomach drops as she hears the door open and a familiar sound of footsteps approaching her. She balls her fists in anticipation of the inevitable.

"Are you not tired of torturing me?" She asks with spite in her voice.

"As a matter of fact, I am not." He replies with a blank expression, contrary to the frustration he feels at the thought that Caterina is still yet to be found.
