Eloise POV

Of course, I'm overjoyed I am overjoyed that you have returned home

"So, when are we going to meet?"

"We'll meet when you're free"

"Okay."

"Mam can you please follow me," The secretary said.

"All right, love, I'll call you late because I'm now at work"

"OK, Bye," I said as I hung up the phone and stowed it in my backpack.

"This way," the secretary said to me

We headed Inside, where the other staff were working.

"She showed me where to sit and what to do at my desk."

"This is your seat

You are free to arrange your belongings here"

"Okay thank you so much." I gave her a kind grin.

After the secretary had departed, I organized my belongings on my desk, placing my mother's photograph near my laptop and my bag on the table.

"You don't have to work full time today because it's the first day," You are free to leave whenever you want"

"Okay thank you so much".

"These are the files which you have to work on. Unlike our previous boss, our current boss is never strict So be careful about this. He has the authority to terminate you at any time if he is dissatisfied with your work So keep in mind to please him with your work"

"Yes I will, You don't need to worry about this."

"That is great, I will take my leave now."

"Excuse me," I stopped her.

"Yes, what is it???,"

"Where is our boss because I can't see him here".

"He will arrive at any momentHe was not well for four months, that is the reason why he was not present here but today he will be joining the company again."

"OkayThank you for guiding me."

She smiled at me and headed towards her cabin.

The other employees there were busy working. I was not familiar with anyone here.

I proceeded with my work, after an hour the manager and the secretary rushed towards the entrance of the company with the banquet of flowers in their hand.

The employees stopped with their work and headed towards the entrance.

I followed them because I didn't want to be the only one sitting there.

"The CEO is back," They all whispered.

My heart started beating very fast but I didn't know the reason behind this.

I placed my hand on my heart,"Eloise You don't have to be worried about anything. The secretary stated that the boss is strict, but that if I work hard enough, he will not bother me So I'll have to put in a lot of effort"

A massive man entered the room "Please make some room

The CEO is about to arrive, and he despises being surrounded by people"

"Yes sir."

"Please, everyone, have a seat Please take a seat because the CEO is still recovering."

I took my seat and waited for him to arrive.

Soon the CEO arrived and when I saw my shivers ran down my spine. My eyes widened as I saw his face.

He was the same man, The same man who had dashed the little girl.

"Ohh my godHe is the same man Now what am I gonna do next???."

I tried to hide my faceIf he sees me here he is gonna get furious. I cannot let this happen. I cannot lose this job because it means alot to me.

I tried to hide from him as he was busy talking to my co-worker.

"As I am back I am gonna keep an eye on each one of you. I don't want any imperfection in your work because if you're not good enough for this company I am gonna fire you. There are many people waiting to get this job, better than you. So it would be better for me to give them your seat. Speech over, Now get back to work."

"Yes sir," They all said while their heads were lowered.

He is strict and a cold hearted person, I spoke rudely to him earlier so now if he finds out that I am an employee in his company he will surely sue me from this company, I am afraid of losing this job. Getting a job here is not easy, I am so stressed.

I was now getting a very bad headache because of the pressure and tension.

"Oh lord, What should I do now? Eloise you shouldn't have interfered, See now you got yourself in trouble," I thought to myself.

I had already completed half of my work so now it was time for me to leave. It would be better for me to leave now because the CEO spotted me here. He is surely gonna overreact and then I don't know what he is gonna do next.

I headed towards my seat and carried my handbag. I headed towards the secretary.

"I will take my leave now."

"Yes you can, but tomorrow you need to work till the working hours end. Today you are excused because it's your first day."

"Yes I know Miss that is the reason why I am leaving, actually I wouldn't leave so early but suddenly I am getting a really bad headache that is the reason why I am leaving."

"Yes, no problem, You can leave nowTake some good rest because tomorrow is gonna be a very hectic day for you as our boss has returned back to the company. He is way too rude than before, I don't Know what happened to him."

"So you are trying to say that he was not like this before??"

"Yeah, He was not this rude and strictYes he was very particular with his employees work but today he seemed very scaryWe all are very scared of him."

"YeahHe is too scary."

"It seemed as if someone made his mood off."

"What do you mean by that??," I questioned her.

"Shush be quiet, our boss is standing right behind you."

"What???He is standing behind me??,"

"Yess."

"Oh my god what should I do now??," I said to myself.

"Eloise there is no need to panic, Just stay still Okay," I said to myself.

I stood still in my place, the CEO was speaking to his manager and I could hear his conversation as he was standing right behind me.

"What happened sir???, You never got late to work???."

"I would be on time but because of a stupid and rude girl I couldn't make it on time."

"So your mood is off because of that girl."

"Yes, She spoils my entire mood, I am so angry at her. Get me a drink in my cabinJust wanna change my mood."

"Yes sir."

I turned a bit behind and saw that he headed towards his cabin.

I sighed with relief that he finally left.

"I was right, You heard their conversation??."

"Yes I did," I said while lowering my, he was talking about me and his mood was off because of me.

"I don't know why that girl had to interfere with our boss. Because of that girl his mood is off."

"Maybe that girl has her reasons for getting into his way."

"Yeah maybe, our CEO is short tempered so there must be some reason why that girl made his mood off, Anyways you should head home now Because if the CEO spots you here he is not gonna let you go home."

"Yeah you are right, I need to head home now, Thank you so much for guiding me".

"Anytime," She smiled at me.

I got out of the company and headed towards the road.

"Oh lord, Why is he my boss???, He is gonna make my life a living hell," I said to myself.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I thought about my future.

I have no guidance, I have no one except my boyfriend who is with me in my bad times. He is the only one whom I can trust, I have no friends here and my dad, he side's his wife.

I was feeling so stressed and tired, I am feeling as if my head is gonna burst out of stress.

I need the money for my daily expenses, if I get kicked out of this job I am not gonna get a job anywhere and I leave this job then it will be difficult for me to get a new job.

I have only a few savings which I had saved in my previous job. I need to hide my identity from my boss.

It's a big company with many employees so my boss might not notice me. I just need to work for a few months till I get another job so I need to manage till then.

I caught a cab and got into it

The cab driver drove me towards my place. I reached my house after an hour, I got out of the cab, paid the driver his fare and headed towards my house.

I rang the bell and waited for someone to open the door.

My step sister opened the door, "oh so your back huh," She said in a rude tone.

"Yes I am backWhy are you not happy to see me again??," I questioned her in the same tone she spoke to me.

"I will never be happy to see you because I hate youYou are so annoying and I always wonder why I have a sister???."

"Get out of my wayYou are not doing anything, not working or taking care of the house, I am very tired so I want some rest."

"Mind your tone while you are talking to me because if mom gets to know how you are talking to me it won't be good for you, Mom hates you and so do I. She will go to any extent to get you out of our way".

"My dad is there for me And he will see to it that no one hurts me here. Don't you remember how he sided with me at the dining table today???, Your mom couldn't say anything. So be careful if dad gets to know that you are talking to me and behaving badly with me he is not gonna spare you."

"Fine, Just do whatever you want," Saying that she headed towards the living area.

I was so tired that I wanted to take some rest.

I headed towards my room, took out my clothes and entered the shower.

Taking a shower would reduce my stress and I was so stressed right now.

I got out of the washroom and wrapped myself in a towel.

I took out my hairdryer and dried my hair.

Right now I wanted to talk to someone, tell them how I felt, I wanted some suggestions on what to do next. I couldn't talk to my dad because I knew that he would not be able to help me.

The only person whom I had was my boyfriend, so I took out my phone and called him.

He carried my call, "heyy Eloise,"

"Hey darling, I am free now so can we meet, I want to talk to you."

"Yes Eloise, Me too, I wanted to tell you something important so I wanna meet you now."

"Cool, then I will get ready in a few minutes and meet you near the caffe near my place."

"Okay fine, I will meet you there," He disconnected the call.

I dried my hair and headed towards my closet, I took out a green dress which was my boyfriend's favorite color and put it on.

I put on some makeup and lipstick. I wanted to look beautiful because I met him after 4 years. I wanna hug and I have never kissed him so today I am gonna kiss him.

I Wanna tell him how much I missed him, I want to share everything with him.

I want to tell him how I felt right now, after talking to him might make me feel better.
