I’m not a Killer

Aliyah's POV

Slowly, I opened my eyes to the figure of a tall man clad in a white coat. Looking at my surrounding, and discovering I was in a hospital, I drew a weak breath, and exhaled. I figured out that my dad had carried me up in his hands immediately I slumped and entered the road risking the possibility of being seen by people. The machines beeped rhythmically, and in some sort, they seemed to increse the tension I felt.

"You're awake," the doctor brewed a smile and he stepped closer to me.

"Yeah," I returned the smile.

"How are you feeling?" he asked placing a palm on my forehead.

"I'm alive," I said weakly.

"Sure, you are," he chuckled as he opened my right eye, then the left, pointing a touch-like instrument inside.

"Can you stick out your tongue? Try saying ah," he demonstrated.

"Ah," I opened my mouth wide, and he examined it.
