Skeleton in his cupboard

Jason's POV

"Dr Mike?" I called out and I could see the slight quiver in his eyes as if I had caught him doing something wrong. He was hiding something. I was sure of that, but what could it possibly be? I would seriously skin him alive if I found out it had anything to do with Kelan.

"Ah! Jason, what brings you by?" He asked, scowling slightly.

"Really? You're my brother's doctor, so isn't it natural for me to visit you and ask about his condition? Unless, you have some skeleton in your cupboard?"

He let out a short laughter. An awkward one at that. "What do you mean by ske-- seriously? Skeleton? If you think there's anything I'm hiding from you, then you can ask me. What would I even do that? I was just surprised to see you since I was still going to come to your place to check up in Kelan."
