Chapter 61

CASSANDRA'S POV

“I have to go, my father is looking for me”, I tell Ivan getting up hurriedly and wearing my dress. I was almost dry rolling on the picnic blanket so that wasn’t a problem.

“Is their something wrong?”, Ivan asks worried as he started getting dressed himself.

“I guess, he might have found I sneaked into his office and am just afraid what he found about our marriage… I don’t want you to get hurt Ivan…”, I tell him genuinely as my voice comes out panicked.

“Hey, cassie…”, he tells cupping my face as my eyes are almost going to tear up.

This feels different, everything feels different. I feel so connected to Ivan that the thought of him getting hurt is making me go insane.

“No one can hurt me okay”, he coos as he rubs his thumb on my cheek gently and place a kiss on my forehead with a smile on his face.

I had to tilt my head up to look at him in eyes which kind of making my neck hurt but all I could think about the green eyes which captured me.
