CASSANDRA'S POV

Since my mother is admitted in hospital neither Jackson nor I was having a normal day. We cover up our love for her with rude behaviour and all but after all she is our mother who gave birth to us.

Not a day went without going to hospital to check up on her. It’s been five days she is still asleep.

I am sitting at the stool beside her while Jackson is sitting on the couch in the room.

The machines attached to her is only evidence of her life in the silent room with the beep sounds of the machines. She is quite so quiet which is sending shivers to my spine.

Mom can’t leave us, not at least like this.

Her beautiful black hair is now no where on her head. It’s covered with bandages and her pink soft lips are chapped, she is looking all bones with saline running in her veins and oxygen pipes inserted in her nostrils.

I take out lip balm from my pocket and swipe the chap stick on her lips hoping it would moisten them not resulting in bleeding.
