Sophie's POV

EARLIER THAT DAY

I stared at Monica suspiciously as she served the customers in a hurry. She has been acting really weird ever since that customer slipped a note into her pocket the day before yesterday.

I didn't ask her about it because I thought the man was wooing her but I guess I was wrong because Coralline called me yesterday saying she reached home really late which only means that she didn't go home straight yesterday.

Today, I planned to ask her about the note but knowing Monica, she wouldn't tell me anything. So I planned out a different approach, I'm going to follow her to wherever she's going to and see what she's up to.

When it was time for her to clock out, I picked up my purse and car keys and told the waitress taking the evening shift to lock up when it's time.

I sneaked into my car and waited for sometime so she would move her car and she did. I gave her some distance before I started my car so she wouldn't notice I was following her.
