CHAPTER 21

Coralline's POV

I drove back home looking dejected. I met Damon in the living room pacing around. It seemed like he was waiting for someone. When his eyes met mine, he sighed in relief and rushed towards me.

'Where have you been? Why didn't you answer my phone calls? Do you know how worried I was??' He asked in one breath.

I looked at his face and couldn't stop the tears that shed from my eyes.

'What's wrong? What happened? Why are you crying? Did I do something wrong?' He asked staring at me cautiously.

I hugged him tightly and said

'No it isn't you. You didn't do anything wrong.'

'What happened then?' He asked again.

'It's Sophie.' I said.

'What about Sophie? Did you guys fight??' He asked concerned.

'No. She's missing.' I said.

'What do you mean missing?' He asked confused.

I explained everything that happened to him and even showed him the voicemail.

He stared at me in shock after he had listened to the voicemail.
