Chapter Eleven

"I have to tell the others," Evelyn said to her friend over the phone. "What if they plan on attacking the other founding families?"

"Do not tell anyone what I just told you. If they don't come for the meeting then it would be clear to my family that the Wolfs had a hand in the attack" Rebecca said. "You need to understand that any slight mistake might lead to a full-scale war. Since your family is innocent, they don't have anything to worry about"

"Then I will surely attend the meeting. I was not involved in the murder of your brother and cousin so there is nothing to worry about, right?".

"You are free to do whatever it is that you want to do but Evelyn, just promise me that you will look out for yourself"

"I promise. What about you, would you be attending the meeting?"

"I... I need to go now. I'll call you later" Rebecca whispered.

"Hold on Rebecca!. What is going..." The line cut off before Evelyn finished talking to her friend. It seemed to Evelyn that something was wrong with Re
