Chapter 21

After the business of the day. Vannesa went home without saying 'hi' to her friend, Annabel. She knew she couldn't hide the fact from her. But she still concluded that it wasn't necessary to tell her what happened in the office. She regrets repeating the same mistake of having sex with Daryl the second time, but deep down, she enjoyed the moment.

"It isn't something to be proud of, but Daryl wasn't bad in the game."

She chatted while unlocking the gate to their compound. She wasn't excited, but she didn't bathe her face with tears as she did for the first time. The memory of the sex kept hitting and hitting her mind. Luckily for her, her mother wasn't at home when she entered.

Feeling stressed out, she lay on the bed without pulling her clothes. She only kept her office bag on the table and collapsed on the mattress.

"I hope not to make the worst mistake of my life. This is not just normal. How can I have an affair with my boss? Won't he sack me when we're done with these silly acts?
