Chapter 28

The sun was setting over the small town as Chelsea and her fiancé, Daryl, settled into a cozy booth at their favorite café. Chelsea had been feeling anxious about their relationship lately and was determined to bring up some of the issues on her mind.

" Daryl, I've been struggling with some things lately and I really need to talk to you about them," she began.

"Sure, Chelsea, what's on your mind?" Daryl asked, looking at her with concern.

"Well, I feel like we're not communicating as well as we used to," Chelsea said, her voice shaky. "And I've been feeling like you're not listening to me when I talk to you about things that are important to me."

"I'm sorry, Chelsea," Daryl said, looking contrite. "I didn't realize you felt that way. I've been under a lot of stress at work and it's been hard for me to focus on anything else."
