It was a dark and cold morning when Emma was rudely woken up by the blaring sound of her alarm clock. She groaned and reached for her phone to check the time.

It was 5:30 a.m., earlier than her usual wake-up time. She shivered and huddled under the covers, dreading the thought of getting out of bed and facing the freezing temperature outside.

The weather had taken a sudden turn overnight, and the cold front had brought in icy winds and biting frost.

Emma had forgotten to close the windows properly, and now her room felt like a freezer. She could feel the chill seeping into her bones as she sat up and rubbed her arms to warm them up.

Reluctantly, she got out of bed and slipped on her fuzzy slippers. She tiptoed to the window and looked outside.
