~Autumn~

I decided to summon the courage to talk to my demon, human of a mate. I wonder exactly where he stays around the pack house. I trampled down the long hallway, hoping to see him by chance like I always do. Nervousness twisted my stomach. I was already imagining him laughing wickedly at me like he did the last time when I couldn’t reject him. My eyes peered every corner of the hallway for him. Before I would reach the porch, I bumped into him. I staggered aside against the wall and he walked past me like he didn’t notice me. I inhaled deeply to subdue the anger that was about being exposed to the surface.

“Hey, wait!” I called out, running after him. He kept walking. I ran past him and blocked his way. “I want us to talk,” I said.
