I geared up to go with Ian to my father. After this visit, I bet I will be free from my father’s pester. I met Ian outside my room. “Shall we?” he asked.

“Sure,” I accepted and we headed on.

We reached my father’s room. He was writing, seated behind his desk. He raised his eyes to us as we entered.

“Greetings, Father,” I greeted.

“Hello, sir,” Ian saluted. Father stood up and moved to us.

“Now you did the right thing, Autumn,” Father smiled. “You are welcome, son, come on, come tell me about yourself,” Father said, leading us to the three sets of couches at the corner of the room.
