67: The mate bond

Jasmine and I held hands as we walked through the park. I became more intentional about spending time with her. I did not want her to get worried about the mate bond between Ashley and me. I knew she was afraid it would put an end to what we shared.

I did not want that at all. The fact that it was Ashley made me want to be more rigid about my feelings. Having an affair with Ashley was total damage to my ego. I always want to show that bitch where she belongs.

I can not let her waltz into my life like her mother did my father. I had to stand my ground and let her know that I was not easy to get.

I had to do everything to reassure Jasmine that I was with her. I could not let my woman worry over me. I'm supposed to be protecting her.

She leaned her head on my shoulder and ran her hands over my arm. I paused and turned her to face me. I cradled her face in my arms and kissed her forehead. She blushed crimson. Her smile lit up her entire face, revealing a set of teeth that I found
