"No way did that woman decide to break into our head guard’s room," Lucinda said with a short laugh as she filed my nails.

I ignored the three of my maids who kept chattering amongst themselves, in a bid to distract me from all that was going on in my mind. I really wasn’t interested in their petty gossips because I had more dangerous things to handle.

"Lily," I said dryly.

She rose from her spot on the blue mat, dropping my shoes back on the ground. I would have prepared someone else to do these tasks, but Lily took it upon herself to fix all of my things. With a sigh, I watched as she walked over to where I was.

"Luna, I’m at your service," she said with her head bowed.

I gave a quick nod. "I need you to make me some tea, with something to cool down my anxiety. I don’t feel too good today," I explained.

She nodded. "Should I get the doctor too?" She asked softly.

I shook my head lightly. "That wouldn’t be necessary. The tea is just what I need to get my brain working," I sai
