I pulled my hair up as Lucinda helped me with the jewellery. The chain was a pain in the ass. "If you’re finding it difficult locking it, I would rather dress as I am. I have no time to waste dressing up. My mates are waiting for me," I pointed out.

She caught my gaze through the mirror as she calmly smiled at me. "It would be a shame if you don’t wear the necklace. The dress is incomplete without it, and we can’t give anyone the chance to complain, can we?" She teased.

I gave her a look. "Ok, do it then," I mumbled.

She looked back at the jewellery, trying hard to fix it. She finally got it right, and I rose to my feet, holding the silver gown tightly in my hands to enable me to move. The outfit was proper, and I liked that my breast was not shown. It was going to enable me to breathe a bit.

"Bring my purse," I said quickly.

Lucinda hurried towards the bed to retrieve the purse like I had told her to. She handed me the purse the moment I stepped out of the room. I really hoped
