ESCAPE PLAN GONE WRONG

ANTONELLA'S POV

The food tasted like shit.

I had no choice however. I was starving and with very little options. I had to eat else I would die.

Hermes stared at me as I guided the watery oats into my mouth with my bare hands. He must have been surprised at how I rushed the food but I didn't care. I was damn hungry and I needed to satisfy myself.

In less than two minutes, I was done eating and I stared at the empty plate before me. It was clean, like it had been washed already and as tasteless as the food was, I still wished I had more to eat. That was how hungry I was.

"You okay?" Hermes asked.

"Much better now," I muttered.

He gave me his gourd of water as I had finished mine already and I downed it In three gulps.

"Thank you very much," I smiled at him.

I felt renewed now, and my brain worked clearly. And that was when I started to suspect. Why was he being so nice to me when we barely knew each other? What if it was just a trap to get me talking? To get me closer to him before he
