LIVING LIKE A PRISONER

ANTONELLA'S POV

Time seemed to move very slowly in the dungeons.

I had tried to get accustomed to the fact that I was going to spend the rest of my life there, crying and pleading for help, but I just couldn't believe it, especially because the order had come from Alpha Xavier.

But I had done exactly as he wished. I had followed his plan to fool my father. Why then did he not still trust me?

As I was bewailing my misery, I heard a creaking sound and I stood up to my feet at once. Maybe the Alpha had realized his mistake and had come to take me back.

I was disappointed however to see that it was not him. A guard holding a huge spear stood in the way and he smiled at me.

"Have a new friend for you," he said. "You two can rot together."

He pushed a boy into the cell with me and he banged the iron door shut, turning the key in the lock.
