Cynthia walked through the passages of the Mortimer Mansion early in the morning. She held her clipboard in her left hand, and her eyes moved from door to door. She had created a system where all the maids had to check in for work every morning after the bell rang, so she could know which maid wasn't following her new rule.

She made sure to wake up an hour before the bell sounded, so she could inspect the mansion thoroughly and know where work was needed, so the maids wouldn't cheat their way out of their chores. She marched through different passages, inspected different halls, and put down notes that would help her remember.

After forty minutes of inspection, she marched back toward her room, staring at her clipboard with a smile on her face. Her eyes beamed with excitement, knowing she had all the power in the world.
