Lycan's dismay

ANDY’S POV

“Hey, Matie.” I said, gripping the plump shoulders of the fat merchant, sitting round a large table in the hall with other father merchants in the hall.

He turned to me, and his fat face broke into a smile.

“Andrew, come join us.” He said, excitedly.

“Can we talk over there?” I said, pointing at the empty space near the hall’s staircase.

He paused and stared thoughtfully at me. He was the merchant who imported Swedish champagne, and asked me to help him get the pretty drink to the Lycan king, hoping he would secure a contract to supply his goods for the marking ceremony.

“O…okay.” He said, and rolled off the bench on which he sat. “Let’s go.”

I led the way and the fat merchant followed me slowly, until we got to the empty space where we could talk without being distracted.

“Andy, I was hoping to tell you that your clothes are nice. You look as noble as the Lycan king himself.” The merchant, Matie, held the pillars of the staircase and gently rested his large back on it.
