NATHAN'S POV On a normal day, I would have been indifferent to situations like this. It wasn't going to be the first time women were fighting each other on my account, but this was Peggy! MILA'S POV Personally, I knew Peggy and Nathan were hiding more than they were letting on, but I didn't want to come off as intrusive. I honestly felt I had intruded enough already. I walked up the staircase to my room and settled on the couch adjacent to my bed. I hadn't gotten seated for up to 5 minutes when Peggy came in through the door and made straight for my bed. She didn't look angry per say, but she did look troubled in a way."Heyyy" I called. "Do you feel okay?""Hmmm" She nodded her head yes. "I just need...... I need....." FIVE YEARS AGO Mila's POVFor two weeks I laid on my bed, crying. I still found it difficult to believe where fate tossed me to. All this while, I had endured, complied with, and done all Claudia's biddings, just so I would be seen as good enough to inherit and oversee all of Dad's businesses and investments. But now, I wasn't even sure of anything. I felt exhausted, weak and my eyes were so heavy from crying. CARTER'S POV As usual, I knew I was going home to some peace and tranquillity, but this time around, I was wrong. I got to my room, undressed and went under the shower. I was still bathing when I heard someone scream. At first I thought it just was my mind, so I continued bathing. It wasn't up to 30 seconds when I heard another scream, accompanied by loud sniffles. I jumped out of the bath tub immediately and made for my bathrobe which was hung on the door of the bathroom.
