I woke up earlier than usual to run today. I was already on my way home when yesterday's memories flashed in my head again. Sierra was really marrying that man and I could do nothing about it. Ava had refused to help me get that little girl's DNA, as at least it could help me stop Sierra, but now it looked impossible. I hated to admit it, but I was now starting to believe the little girl was that man's child. When I thought of this, I sped up until I saw my house. I then stopped and walked inside.

I could smell fresh pancakes from the door, so I carefully closed the door and intended to walk up the stairs, Cassie's cooking was still shocking me. “Good morning,” Cassie greeted, and I stopped in my tracks and turned to face her.
