The sharp trill of the alarm slices through my dreams, dragging me back to reality with a jolt. Just as Ryder had said last night to set the alarm, I was too drowsy, I should have told him not to.

I groan stretching my hand blindly at the nightstand, my fingers clumsy and uncoordinated, fumbling to silence the darn alarm.
