They left the store, leaving Andrea behind, and she stared at their retreating back. “Christian didn’t even hug me or pecked me on the cheek before leaving,” She thought about the distance between them, and Danny’s words were ringing in her head, but the next moment a store assistant appeared to help her with evening gowns.

Nikhil was in deep thought, staring out of the window, when Riya walked into his cabin to get his signature on the contract papers for their upcoming association. He signed all the papers and Riya was about to leave when he stopped her.

“Come, sit for a while.” He said, and she sat, dropping the file on his desk.

“Is everything alright? You seem tensed?” She said, “Do you want strong coffee?”
