Episode 38 World's Cutest Baby

Ivaan was reading a book quietly in his room when the doorknob twisted and Sarah, his mother, walked in. “Hey, sweetie! Why are you up so late? You have school tomorrow!” She said, sitting near him on the edge of the bed.

“What happened? You look upset?” She asked, and he shook his head.

“Just missing, dad! I hope he comes back soon.” Ivaan said and Sarah slowly nodded, making a pout.

“You don’t like here…. With me?” She asked in an uncertain voice and Ivaan turned silent.

“Why do you love your stepkids more than me?” He asked, and Sarah widened her eyes.

“Ivaan!! Don’t say that! Your dad will feel bad,” Sarah said, referring to her new husband, and turned back to look at the half-opened door.

“He is not my dad!!” Ivaan countered, and Sarah glared at him.

“I will not tolerate this behaviour, Ivaan,” Sarah said sternly, and a lone tear escaped from Ivaan’s eyes.

“I want to sleep. I don’t want to talk to you.” He said and pulled the duvet over him.

“I don’t want to talk to you either!!”
