Chapter Twenty-Eight

I wondered how much we were going to make if we opened a thrift store here. I ran my fingers through his clothes and brought his shirt close to my nose to smell it. I always found his Cologne intoxicating. I saw where he put my things, and I arranged them to taste. I hung up the remaining clothes and sat down to relax a bit before Mace arrived. I searched for Grace on social media and luckily got a hold of her. We chatted for a while before she told me she was actually in New York.

I nearly screamed my head off, and I quickly asked her what she was doing in New York. She told me that she lost her grandmother a few months ago, and since nothing was holding her back in Boston, she decided to move to New York.

I felt really bad hearing she lost her grandma, who is the only family she has left. We immediately fixed a date to meet up for lunch later tomorrow afternoon at a cafe, and I was kind of glad that everything seemed to be falling into place.
