auctioned off to a stranger

The first event out of the three days was an auction. Because it was an impromptu party, I didn't have the time to bring an item that could be valued, but I was willing to help by buying something.

“So this is a ticket to a romcom, not so grande but it's worth it. If you have a partner you'd like to watch a romance comedy with, you can get this." The lady on stage said.

I forgot what her name was but she has been the one leading the auction.

“This ticket is going for ten dollars."

“Eleven someone yelled."

“Twenty." Another person yelled.

This was a party filled with hot blooded businessmen and business women that did not know what loosing felt like and they were literally competing with everyone and everything.

“Thirty." Another person yelled.

“Oh my, do I hear thirty five?."

“Thirty three."

“Forty five."

“Do I hear forty seven?."
